Did you know there are over 1,500 hotels near Disney World? There is no way that we can do you justice by giving you information on all the hotels around Disney World, the information would simply be too much. In order to make it easier on our readers we have broken the hotels down into three different categories. If you are looking to stay at a hotel near Disney World you pretty much have three options: 1) stay at a hotel on Disney World property 2) stay at hotel in the Kissimmee (or 192) area 3) stay at a hotel in the Lake Buena Vista area.

Kissimmee Area- The oldest Main gate entrance is the one situated on Hwy 192 south of Walt Disney World. This was by far the most popular area for a hotel years ago. Since this is the oldest entrance, many of these hotels are older. But don’t fret, many of the national chains have been moving back in with a vengeance and are tearing down or totally renovating these hotels. If you are looking for a VALUE, where price meets quality, then this would be an area to investigate.

Lake Buena Vista- This area is located on the North side of Disney World and this is the newest area that has been developed. You will notice that the Lake Buena Vista area hotels are much newer than many of the hotels on HWY 192 but the rates are also going to be a little higher. This area is also known for having great shops and top notch restaurants.

Hotels inside the maingate to Disney World- The hotels inside Disney World are going to offer you and your family the most conveyance, since majority of these hotel properties offer free shuttle service to all the Disney World Theme Parks every thirty minutes. The rates are going to be somewhat higher at these Disney hotels.

Hotels near Disney World worth considering

Baymont Maingate West Resort: The rates for this hotel are usually between $42 and $57 a night, but don't let these rates fool you this is a great hotel.
