Disney Good Neighbor Hotels what does it mean? Simple, the Disney Good Neighbor hotels are hotels which have passed a certain high standard criteria that has been setup by Walt Disney World. Disney understands that there are a lot of popular Lake Buena Vista hotels and Kissimmee FL hotels which guests like to stay at. So they came up with the Disney World Good Neighbor hotel program, the idea behind this program was for Disney to set high standards for hotels near Disney World to be part of this program and to ensure that Disney World guests who stayed in these properties were pleased.

1. High Standards - For a hotel to be part of the Disney Good Neighbor hotel program, a Disney executive has to come in and inspect the property. The goal for this program is for Disney to give it’s stamp of approval for hotels close to Disney that meet these high standards. Of course, there is a different criterion for each price point, so a hotel which offers a nightly rate of $45 will have less stringent criteria as compared to a hotel which offers a $90 average nightly rate.
2. Shuttle Service to Disney World - All Disney Good Neighbor hotels have to offer FREE scheduled shuttle services to Disney World. Now, these hotels typically offer three shuttle services to drop guests off in the morning, and three shuttle services to pick guests up at night.
3. Customer Service- All the employees of Disney World Good Neighbor hotels have to be well versed in their knowledge of Disney World.
4. Close to Disney World - All the Disney Good Neighbor hotels have to be close to Disney, and majority of the hotel guests have to be going to Disney World. You see Disney will not grant a hotel this seal of approval to a hotel that is catering to all things Orlando. To be a Disney Good Neighbor hotel these hotels can only provide shuttle service to Disney World not Universal Studios or Sea World and the only tickets which can be sold in the lobby of these hotels are Disney World tickets.
